This seminar is one of a series of meetings organised as the French presidency of the European Union approaches on the initiative of Jérôme Bédier, chairman of the 'Commission Europe' at the Medef.

Workshop - European Ideas Network (EIN) - 5

The European Ideas Network (EIN) in partnership with the Foundation for Political Innovation and the Robert Schuman Foundation organised a working seminar on 5th March on "Facing the 2025 Challenge: EU Options and Solutions". Schuman Report 2008 on the state of the Union - 12

UMP Convention on Europe - 30
th January 2008
The chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation, Jean-Dominique Giuliani took part in the UMP Convention on Europe on 30th January at the Maison de la Mutualité (Europe: let's build our future together"). This Convention provided an opportunity for debate with two round tables including themes as varied at the achievement and issues at stake within the new European treaty, the place given to the "small countries" in the European Union, the conception of common policies, notably in terms of immigration, energy and defence and the possible integration of new member countries. The day concluded with a speech by the President of the French Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy and Angela Merkel, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
