States of the ratification procedure of the Lisbon Treaty
On 15th July, Spain completed the parliamentary ratification procedure of the European Lisbon Treaty, thus becoming the 23rd Member State to officially approve this text by a parliamentary vote. On 27 Member States, Ireland is the only country to have rejected the text so far. Tree member states (Italy, Czech Republic and Sweden) are still proceeding to ratify the Treaty. On the website of the Robert Schuman Foundation, you will find an updated map explaining the evolution of the ratification procedure country by country.
