States of the ratification procedure of the Lisbon Treaty
On July 31st, Italy has achieved its parliamentary ratification process of the European Treaty of Lisbon, becoming the 23rd member state to officially adopt this text by parliamentary vote. Of the 27 member states, only Ireland has rejected the treaty; the ratification process is continuing in Czech Republic, in Sweden and in Poland (the ratification will be complete once the Polish President has signed the treaty). The Robert Schuman Foundation has an updated map explaining the evolution of the ratification process in each country, on its website.
